Meditation in a Toolshed:
Is Design a Beam of Light?

2024

This risograph-printed zine is a statement of practice that uses a 1945 essay by c.s. Lewis as the model for exploring subjectivity and objectivity in graphic design. I draw on my personal experience, having worked in both the industry and the academy, as well as published scholarship to argue for a synthetic multi-modal practice in which creative intuition is combined with research methods.
